ASSEMBLER – 1st SHIFT

We have an immediate opportunities available in Sandusky, OH for a Powered Assembler on our first shift team (7 am-3:30 pm).  This position assembles unpowered and powered conveyor units and related equipment for large material handling systems. 

KEY DUTIES:

 

The candidate will have a High School Diploma/GED with a focus in the mechanical/industrial tech area; a strong mechanical aptitude; as well as a minimum of 2 years maintenance or machine building/assembly experience preferred.  A proven ability to read a tape measure as well as read and interpret blueprints/mechanical drawings.  This position requires solid math skills (decimals, fractions, etc.), proven troubleshooting skills; as well as a high level of attention to detail, quality, and safety.

WELDERS – 1st SHIFT

We have immedicate opportunities available in Sandusky, OH for Welders on our 1st Shift team (7 am - 3:30 pm). This positon performs fit-up and welding of products from mechanical drawings using GMAW (mig) processes as required.  This position will also require the design and build of jigs and fixtures as needed.  

KEY DUTIES:

The qualified candidate will have a High School Diploma/GED with high school and/or post-high school education / training / certification in welding.  A minimum of three years recent GMAW (mig) weld experience desired, building large pieces of equipment desirable; ovens & furnace builds a plus.  A high level of understanding mechanical drawings/blueprints is essential. The successful candidate will have strong communication, problem-solving/troubleshooting, and mathematic skills; a high level of attention to detail, quality, and safety.

ROLLER FAB / ASSEMBLY – 2nd SHIFT

We have an immediate opportunities available in Sandusky, OH for Roller Assembly and Fabrication operations on our second shift team (3:15 pm-11:45 pm). These positions either are involved in the cutting of steel parts to for rollers, the formation of parts to make a roller, or putting together or installing rollers in to streel frames.

KEY DUTIES:

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma/GED. A minimum of one year recent work experience in the manufacturing environment required, with steel fabrication environment experience a plus. A proven record of excellent attendance and reliability. A high level of hand to eye coordination and understanding mechanical drawings is key. The successful candidate will have strong communication, problem-solving/troubleshooting, and mathematic skills; as well as a high level of attention to detail, quality, and safety.

SR.  CONTROLS ENGINEER


We have an immediate opportunity available for a Senior Controls Engineer for our product lines.  This position will be responsible for the development or redesign of electrical controls for new or existing products.  An individual in this role will work from order requirements or other specifications to complete final control circuitry and program logic utilizing software and engineering calculations. The position interacts with customers while developing product solutions and closing new business. This position will provide technical expertise to less experienced engineering personnel as well as lead a team of Controls Engineers and/or CAD Designers per customer project requirements. 

KEY DUTIES:
• Review opportunities (RFQ) & specify company products to meet customer applications.
• Design electrical controls / control systems and provide technical support for LEWCO products.
• Write PLC, HMI, PC and other control programs using various software.
• Create sequence of operations, control schematics, and control panel layouts using CAD (Electrical) software in creating customer proposals and manufacturing.
• Create BOM’s and routings, as well as owner manuals, test procedures, or other deliverables.
• Perform required electrical computations for sizing electrical components.
• Prepare cost estimates for non-standard products
• Provide field support of Company products as needed.

The successful candidate will have at least a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and 5 years work experience that includes a working knowledge of NFPA 70, National Electrical Code, and NFPA 79 Electrical Standards for Industrial Machinery.  The candidate will possess a proven ability to troubleshoot electrical control circuits and a proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical. The position requires a solid working knowledge of PLC, HMI, and PC based control hardware and software. This role requires an individual who can establish collaborative relationships with engineering, sales, and production groups in meeting customer needs.  The successful candidate will have a high level of initiative, attention to detail, and able to manage multiple projects with varied deadlines.  This position will require occasional overnight travel to customer locations to serve as a key technical resource.
