Technical Sales Associate

We have an immediate opportunity available in Sandusky, OH for a Technical Sales Associate to work on our Conveyor Products Team.  This position will have continuous interaction with customers reviewing requests for quotes, proposing solutions to customer challenges, as well as providing cost estimates and corresponding equipment orders.  The position is involved in the closing and processing of customers’ orders.  Note:  While the position is primarily inside sales oriented, there may be some occasional travel based on customer need. If you like to provide customer solution selling and have an industrial / engineering background this may be for you! 

KEY DUTIES:

The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Engineering Technology, and a minimum of two years of work experience desired or equivalent level of education/experience. Previous industrial inside sales experience a plus. The candidate will be computer-literate performer easily adapting to a wide variety of applications including: SOLIDWORKS, a solid working knowledge of AutoCAD, and a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, especially Excel Spreadsheets. The candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills; a strong attention to detail; as well as a strong sales / customer service focus.

MATERIAL HANDLER / SHIPPER - 1st Shift

We have an immediate opportunity available in Sandusky, OH for a Material Handler / Shipper on our day shift team (7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.). This positon assists in the pulling and issuing of stock and purchased parts required for the various manufacturing departments as well as load/unload materials at our dock area from inbound/outbound trucks. Additionally this position also spends a significant part of the time involved in shipping out materials from the location primarily through the packing of various size parts (including building of skids) for pick-up by FedEx and the preparation of all appropriate shipping documentation.  

KEY DUTIES:

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma/GED with some post-high school education / training / certification in shipping and material handling activities in a manufacturing operation. A minimum of one year of forklift work experience in a manufacturing operation preferred. Able to operate a forklift, pallet jack, as well as able to spend significant time standing, walking and lift items up to 80 lbs. from floor to shoulder height. Strong communication and mathematic skills are required. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, able to interact effectively with others, and a strong level of mathematical skills.

ELECTRIC CONTROLS PANEL BUILDER – 1st SHIFT

We have an immediate opportunities available in Sandusky, OH for Assemblers on our first (7 am-3:30 pm) shift team.  This position assembles control panels and related products as well as teams with other functions in the electrical assembly of assigned jobs to ensure compliance to designated product standards. 

KEY DUTIES:

The candidate will have a High School Diploma/GED and a solid understanding of the NEC with a minimum of 4 years’ experience building control panels; as well as a solid understanding of pneumatic systems.  A proven ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.  This position requires strong math skills (decimals, fractions, etc.), proven troubleshooting skills; as well as a high level of attention to detail, quality, and safety.

ROLLER FAB / ASSEMBLY OPPORTUNITIES – 2nd SHIFT

 We have an immediate opportunities available in Sandusky, OH for Roller Assembly and Fabrication operations on our second shift team (3:15 pm-11:45 pm). These positions either are involved in the cutting of steel parts to for rollers, the formation of parts to make a roller, or putting together or installing rollers in to streel frames.

KEY DUTIES:

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma/GED. A minimum of one year recent work experience in the manufacturing environment required, with steel fabrication environment experience a plus. A proven record of excellent attendance and reliability. A high level of hand to eye coordination and understanding mechanical drawings is key. The successful candidate will have strong communication, problem-solving/troubleshooting, and mathematic skills; as well as a high level of attention to detail, quality, and safety.

MACHINE OPERATOR – 2nd SHIFT 

We have an immediate opportunity available in Sandusky, OH for a Machine Operator on our second shift team (3:15 p.m. – 11:45 p.m.). This position will perform the operation of various metal working machinery to assist in the fabrication of a variety of steel products.  In addition, this position will be responsible for performing schedule quality checks/verifications during the production of various steel parts / products. 

KEY DUTIES: 

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma/GED with some post-high school education / training / certification being a plus. A minimum of one year of work experience in manufacturing operations and the use of saws, shears, turret, laser, and press break equipment preferred. Strong communication and mathematic skills are required. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, quality, and safety.

SR.  CONTROLS ENGINEER


We have an immediate opportunity available for a Senior Controls Engineer for our product lines.  This position will be responsible for the development or redesign of electrical controls for new or existing products.  An individual in this role will work from order requirements or other specifications to complete final control circuitry and program logic utilizing software and engineering calculations. The position interacts with customers while developing product solutions and closing new business. This position will provide technical expertise to less experienced engineering personnel as well as lead a team of Controls Engineers and/or CAD Designers per customer project requirements. 

KEY DUTIES:
• Review opportunities (RFQ) & specify company products to meet customer applications.
• Design electrical controls / control systems and provide technical support for LEWCO products.
• Write PLC, HMI, PC and other control programs using various software.
• Create sequence of operations, control schematics, and control panel layouts using CAD (Electrical) software in creating customer proposals and manufacturing.
• Create BOM’s and routings, as well as owner manuals, test procedures, or other deliverables.
• Perform required electrical computations for sizing electrical components.
• Prepare cost estimates for non-standard products
• Provide field support of Company products as needed.

The successful candidate will have at least a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and 5 years work experience that includes a working knowledge of NFPA 70, National Electrical Code, and NFPA 79 Electrical Standards for Industrial Machinery.  The candidate will possess a proven ability to troubleshoot electrical control circuits and a proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical. The position requires a solid working knowledge of PLC, HMI, and PC based control hardware and software. This role requires an individual who can establish collaborative relationships with engineering, sales, and production groups in meeting customer needs.  The successful candidate will have a high level of initiative, attention to detail, and able to manage multiple projects with varied deadlines.  This position will require occasional overnight travel to customer locations to serve as a key technical resource.

WELDERS – 2nd SHIFT

We have an immediate opportunities available in Sandusky, OH for Welders on our second (3:15-11:45 pm) shift teams. This position performs fit-up and welding of products from mechanical drawings using GMAW (mig) processes as required.  This position will also require the design and build of jigs and fixtures as needed.  

KEY DUTIES: 

 The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma/GED with post-high school education / training / certification in welding a plus. A minimum of one year weld experience desired.  A high level of understanding mechanical drawings is key. The successful candidate will have strong communication, problem-solving/troubleshooting, and mathematic skills; as well as a high level of attention to detail, quality, and safety.
